Our first cabin
lot was 1.67 acres with not one blade of grass to
cut ! We had a huge area off to the
right side of our home which went down to Stoney
Lick Run. Wildlife was abundant and we saw deer
nearly every day on the property. They come very close to the
house as you can see from the photos. We installed an
automatic deer feeder which operated twice a day. It
was not
uncommon to see deer walking down the main roads any time of the
day. Once, at 3 PM in broad daylight, we had to wait for 6 deer to
walk across one of the streets. A Momma and her two young fold
were
frequent visitors. Our second home
(purchased 2004) was about 1 acre. We still see lots of
wildlife on the property. |
